A small, family-focused school dedicated to low student-teacher ratios.
Classes are small and multigrade to enable a focused and dynamic learning experience for each child.
Our Vision
Our vision is a culture empowered by community, compassion and wonder.
Our Philosophy
Via Vita, meaning 'way of life', sums up every aspect of our school. Learning is natural and purposeful throughout our lives, therefore we offer a school learning experience that does just the same.
Our Core Values
Owned and operated by teachers, every aspect of Via Vita Academy is built with the student, family, and community’s best interests in mind. Our top priorities are relationships, teaching, learning, and supporting one another. We strongly believe that to continue as a small, family-focused school and to thrive within those concepts, we need to hold true to these three main values:
Communication We strongly believe the relationships we build with our students and families are not only the building blocks to a successful education for each student, but they are the building blocks on which we will grow as a school. Open communication between school, home, and community will enable a supportive learning environment for students and their families. We ensure students and their families feel welcomed and encouraged to participate, engage, support, and gain from the educational experience at Via Vita. Families are encouraged to get involved, visit often, ask, learn and teach. We aim to inspire students and their families to take an active and supportive role in their educational experience.
Dedication Remaining small and family-focused, we work together to create a meaningful and engaging educational experience for every student. We believe in education that supports each child, works with each family, and values community. Education should inspire learning as a way of life, preparing students for success in an ever-changing and diverse world. Lessons are designed to meet the varying interests and abilities of each student while also strengthening their experience, skill, and critical mind to make meaning out of their learning. We build success through recognizing children’s strengths, celebrating differences, and fostering a respect to work together. We believe in a well-rounded education, one that combines skill-based academics with real life applications tobuild happy, healthy successful individuals. We work closely with families, support our teachers, engage in the community, and realize in the success of each student. Transparency Our focus and passion is education. We believe that the families and teachers who have come to Via Vita Academy also have a focus on education, and more specifically, an education that best suits their child. This is the bond we all share. As a private school, then, we feel it is important to make decisions together, working as a team. This best supports our students and the business itself, enabling them to thrive, grow, and function smoothly day-to-day. To help ensure our focus is always in line with both our and your philosophies, we aim to remain transparent with all parents and teachers within the school. This means that anything happening within the school, behind the scenes, day-to-day, including our plans for the future, are always openly communicated and ready to share with you, as a member of Via Vita Academy. We believe Via Vita Academy can, together with your support, continue thriving as a whole group of dedicated families and educators. As often as needed, Via Vita Academy will hold Parent Meetings. These meetings have an open invitation to any parent within Via VIta Academy. We encourage all parents to attend. It enables parents to play an active role in helping us make the right decisions for the school. In the past, these meetings have helped us decide upon tuition fees, programs, growth, new ideas, staff hiring, event planning, etc.
