Each student, in every grade, will receive approximately (in accordance with age/ability):
We use Nova Scotia Department of Education Curricula, enhanced with Inquiry-Based Themed Learning that exceed curriculum outcomes. Our Pre-Kindergarten utilizes a combination of grade primary, play-based models, and other pre-school curricula from around the world.
Via Vita Academy has two main themes in the school year, one for each term. Within the yearly curriculum plans, our teachers explore all outcomes within the Nova Scotia Department of Education Curriculum and ensure each student is engaged in material specific to their grade-level information. By using an inquiry-based approach, students often exceed these outcomes through their own abilities to inquire, problem solve, collaborate and go deeper than the curriculum outlines. Students cover a wide range of subjects throughout the year, deeply engaging in learning material. By implementing a Themed foundation, it emphasizes the process of inquiry and making meaningful connections.

- 2 hours Physical Activity (indoor and outdoor)
- 50% of the day Math, Language and Theme Studies
- 50% of the day Personal Development (Life, Arts, and Physical Activity skills)
- Emotional and Life Skill support and coaching
- By Term:
- Student Work Showcases
- Meeting(s) with Parents & Students
- Mid-Term and End of Term Progress Reports (Includes Academic, Life Skills, and Personal Development)
