Please take a look through our policies and procedures below and always, ALWAYS, send us along any questions you may have. We look forward to meeting you to discuss how to help your child succeed!
STEP 1: Complete the Application
We are excited to learn more about your family! The first step is to complete our online application. The application includes detailed questions to help us understand your child's unique strengths, needs, and learning goals, so please allow yourself plenty of time to complete it thoroughly.
If you need assistance at any point, please contact us at [email protected].
STEP 2: Application Review & Family Meeting
Once your application has been received and reviewed, we will contact you regarding next steps. Depending on current availability, your family may be placed on our waitlist or invited to move forward in the admissions process.
If space is available, we will schedule a family meeting and school tour. This is an opportunity for you to learn more about our program, ask questions, and explore whether Via Vita Academy may be a good fit for your child. It also allows us to better understand your child's needs and determine whether we can provide the appropriate supports within our school community.
STEP 3: Student Visit / Trial Day (as needed)
For most students entering Grade 1 and above, and for younger students when appropriate, we may invite your child to participate in a Trial Day at the school. This visit allows your child to experience a typical school day while giving our team the opportunity to assess how we can best support their learning and well-being.
The Trial Day is an important part of ensuring that we can meet the needs of both the applying student and our currently enrolled students within the classroom environment.
STEP 4: Admissions Decision & Enrolment
Following the application review, family meeting, and Trial Day (if required), our admissions team will make a decision regarding enrolment.
Please note that submitting an application, attending a meeting, or participating in a Trial Day does not guarantee enrolment. Admission is based on several factors, including whether the student's needs can be appropriately supported within our program and whether space is available in the school and/or classroom. If your child is offered a place, we will invite you to complete the enrolment paperwork and submit the required deposit (EMT preferred) to secure your child's spot. We will also be happy to answer any remaining questions as you prepare to join our school community.
Tuition *Please inquire for mid-year enrolment fees, as they vary depending on the month of enrolment, and are different than the full price listed below. Our tuition fee includes all of our educational programming and most traditional school supplies. The tuition fee for the 2026-27 school year is $13,500 (Grades PK-9). Payment structure options are either:
$13,500 paid in full upon enrolment
OR Payment of non-refundable deposit of $1000 upon enrolment and ten post-dated payments of $1250 dated for the 1st of every month September-June.
OR another arrangement made with Via Vita Academy.
Sibling Rates
$12500 paid in full upon enrolment;
OR Payment of ten post-dated payments of $1250 for the 1st of every month September-June.
OR another arrangement made with Via Vita Academy.
Payments are preferred through electronic money transfer (EMT), but are also collected through cheque, or cash. Please make cheques payable to Via Vita Academy Ltd. and/or EMT payments to [email protected]
Receipts For tax purposes, children in the pre-K program are issued a full receipt of all fees paid. For school-aged children, we can issue a receipt of 40% for childcare expenses, per school aged child. This is calculated at $5/hour for 3 hours/day of childcare, allowing 1.5 hours for recess and lunch, .75 hours at the start of each day and .75 hours at the end of each day. Families who pay additional fees for After School Care will receive an additional receipt for childcare.
Late Registration If space is available, registration will remain open after the start of September. If late registration occurs, tuition, including your non-refundable deposit, will be prorated.
Refund Policy If you are leaving, we are very sad to see you go! We expect to be working closely with you every step of the way to ensure your departure runs smoothly on both ends. You deposit is non-refundable. We require four months notice and payments for withdrawal. No refunds will be given after February 1st for any withdrawals and payments for the remainder of the school year are still required.
NSF Policy There is a charge of $25 in the case of each NSF cheque
Overdue Fees Policy We are a small school. Every student and family is valued and is important to the life of the school. We expect each family to work with the payment policies of the school to ensure its survival. Payments are expected to be secured upon enrolment and for all potential hiccups to be dealt with efficiently and responsibly by Via Vita Academy and the families involved. Therefore, if a payment is missed, no matter the reason, it is expected that the payment will come in as soon as possible. For every full week a payment is late, a fee of $25 will be added to the original tuition payment. If this pattern reaches 3 months of missed payments, active recruitment will begin to replace that student’s spot in the Academy and teaching reports will be withheld from the family until all fees are paid in full.
Extra Fees & Supplies Via Vita Academy provides all basic school supplies for work at school. Students are required to provide their own lunch, snacks, water bottle, school outing fees, outdoor gear, uniform, technology device, yoga mat, and various other small items throughout the year. Before/After School Care Before school supervision is provided from 7:30-8am for $5/student. After school supervision is provided from 3:30-5:30pm for $10/hour/student. No pre-registration required, use as needed. We invoice families at the end of the month with extra supervision fees due.
