About Our School
Via Vita Academy is a small, independent school located in Kwipew, Mi’kma’ki (Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia). We nurture the personal and academic growth of every child from Pre-K to Grade 9, helping them develop into thoughtful, compassionate, and engaged citizens.
We intentionally remain small to foster a family-focused, community-minded school where every student is known and supported. With small class sizes, a vibrant mix of opportunities and challenges, and a diverse team of collaborative educators, our students experience learning that feels both personal and meaningful.
At Via Vita, education extends far beyond the traditional curriculum. Our holistic learning experience weaves together health and wellness, creative arts, cultural exploration, daily physical activity, and hands-on life skills. Through inquiry- and project-based learning, we maintain high academic standards while fostering social-emotional growth, resilience, and self-awareness. Students learn to take ownership of their growth, build perseverance, navigate challenges with empathy, and cultivate healthy, meaningful relationships—finding joy in practicing a wide range of life skills every day.
